Stage 4 Deserves More! Charlii's Story

Charlotte & Greg Season 2 Episode 3

In this episode Charlotte & Greg talk to Charlii, a very active social media advocate for stage 4 breast cancer patients like herself. Charlii is a mother, wife, nurse and now also a stage 4 breast cancer patient. She checked her breasts regularly but that didn't prevent her from finding a lump under the age of 40, making up only 4% of all breast cancer patients.

Even more shocking, within three weeks she was told it was already Stage 4, meaning it had spread to other parts of the body, known as Secondary Cancer. This is the leading cause of death in women under 50 in the UK, yet only 5% of charity funding is dedicated to it. Being Stage 4 presents itself with additional, unexpected obstacles. Charlii has become not only an advocate for herself, but for others like her, to raise awareness and spread the message that stage 4 deserves more!

You can follow Charlii, and her story, on her instagram page @tinypartofmystory She is also an advocate for The Future Dreams Breast Cancer Charity https://futuredreams.org.uk/ @futuredreamscharity based in London and Secondary Sisters Charity who help support young adults with a secondary cancer diagnosis https://www.trekstock.com/secondary-sisters If you would like to donate or gain support from them please visit their websites.
